Construction Manager - Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)experience req Core Construction Oversight Responsibilities Monitors field activities of contractors, tracks construction progress, and documents work conditions and performance. Ensures current drawings and plans are available each day to field supervisors, inspectors and superintendent. Identifies and verifies required remediation activities for any non‑conforming work. Assists in evaluating the validity of claims and differing site conditions. For this type of work, having at least some geotechnical expertise (or understanding) is essential. Oversees construction safety and notifies contractor supervision of unsafe practices or conditions. Reviews look‑ahead schedules with contractor staff, project management, and stakeholders to confirm upcoming work activities; testing and inspection requirements; equipment and resource needs; and coordination with adjacent work and other parties. Manages oversight of construction activities through project completion and closeout, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and Owner’s policies. Ensures that field quality process readiness and implementation, including punch list development and resolution; commissioning; and warranty period oversight are compliant, sufficient and complete. Construction Readiness & Technical Controls Ensures Construction Readiness, including verification that Design packages are Ready for Construction (RFC); all submittals are approved and reviewed by required stakeholders; and all Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approvals are obtained. Proactively manages and coordinates all construction documentation and technical workflows, such as: Submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Design Change Notices (DCNs), Field Change Notices (FCNs). Leadership, Coordination & Program Support Leads and mentors project team members, promoting professional growth and high-performance culture. Provides guidance to resolve complex construction and project‑related issues. Builds and maintains long‑term client relationships. Degree Requirement for Position Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture. Experience Level - Senior Level & Mid‑Level Preferred Qualification 15+ years' experience in construction involving multiple phases of large civil / structural projects, and some experience with tunnel projects. Must have experience with Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Owner Representative Experience required Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, display leadership and resolve critical issues pertinent to the project and client.
