Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)

Pay: $55/hr – $66/hr

Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across all age groups, perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures, and demonstrate strong critical care expertise. NICU experience is required.

• Assess patients and monitor responses to respiratory therapies and interventions.

• Deliver respiratory care services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• Evaluate patient outcomes and recommend treatment modifications as appropriate.

• Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient responses.

• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and home care.

• Provide age-specific respiratory therapies and interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care plans.

• Assist with orientation and education of students and newly hired respiratory staff.

• Participate in department meetings, competencies, and continuing education activities.

• Serve in charge therapist or leadership roles when assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.

• Current Respiratory Care License.

• Current BLS Certification (AHA).

• Current ACLS Certification (AHA).

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience.

• NICU experience required.

• Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary disease management knowledge.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• NRP Certification.

• Acute care hospital experience.

• Previous NICU and neonatal respiratory care experience.

• Experience serving in charge therapist or leadership roles.

• Active membership with AARC.

• Strong patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
