About the role

As a CDL Driver, you'll not only drive our equipment, but you'll also drive our success! You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you'll do on a typical day

• Drive a tractor pulling 48 or 53-foot trailers in and around the site or on public roads.
• At times you may be asked to drive a 26-foot box truck
• Touch freight position using material handling equipment to assist in loading and unloading at the dock
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you'll need to succeed at GXO

• At a minimum you'll need: 6 months of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver's license and an acceptable MVR
• It'd be great if you also have: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
