Lactation Consultant

Lactation Consultant is a professional health care provider who has the knowledge and communication skills necessary to assist mothers choosing to breastfeed their babies.

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing BSN preferred

Certification & Licensures: BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required *Current RN license in the State of Virginia IBCLC required within two years of hire Current BCLS certification

Qualifications: Attends yearly in-service programs Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of patients served FLSA Classification Non-exempt Physical Demands 9 A Educators

Pay Range: $37.24 - $54.07
