**Exciting Opportunity for a Cat Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Join our dynamic team as a Cat Scan Technologist and take your career to new heights! - Perform complex CT procedures and showcase your expertise in producing stunning sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. - Make a difference by assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical histories, ensuring thorough documentation in PACS. - Prepare and closely screen contrast questionnaires with patients and families, entering data into EPIC. - Identify and administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Verify the appropriateness of patient prescriptions, collaborating with Radiologists and Referring Physicians for any necessary clarifications. - Ensure insurance authorization for exams, maintaining effective communication with finance for any modifications. - Gather outside studies (CD), schedule them in EPIC, and ensure they are available in PACS for Radiologist comparison. - Provide exam copies to patients and referring physicians while supporting patients' information needs. - Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to verify proper identification and diagnostic quality. - Prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety, adapting to individual patient needs. - Assess patient preparation for procedures and implement necessary shielding or immobilization techniques. - Determine the correct type and dosage of contrast to be administered. - Offer clear explanations and instructions at appropriate times, addressing patient questions or concerns. - Conduct venipuncture, IV patency checks, and maintenance procedures as per established guidelines. - Monitor patient conditions during procedures for any adverse reactions. - Adhere to departmental policies, including attendance and punctuality. - Maintain physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 lbs, push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs, and stand for up to 6 hours. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Strong understanding of CT software and hardware. - Expertise in the PACS system. - Commitment to ongoing education with maintenance of CEU credits. - Must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within the first twelve months. - Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire. **Preferred Qualifications:** - At least six months of CT experience. - Familiarity with Epic and any HIS/RIS systems. **Education & Certifications:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent. - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license mandatory. - Preferred: ARRT certified R.T.(CT) license. **Schedule Details:** - Wednesday to Saturday, 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM. - Weekend Requirement: Yes (Every Saturday). - Holiday Requirement: Yes (1 holiday required). **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
