Nurse Practitioner - PCP

Compensation

Salary Range: $137,000 - $189,000 per year

Location: Winthrop, MA

Position Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner - PCP, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals, families, and groups in a community-based setting. This role focuses on diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and ongoing panel management.

Responsibilities

? Schedule / Shift

• Shift details: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no weekends or nights)
• Hours per week: 40 (32 clinic hours + 8 administrative/follow-up hours)

? Key Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused health histories and physical examinations
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic and laboratory testing
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with appropriate treatment plans
• Communicate clinical findings and coordinate care, including consults with physicians and advanced practice providers
• Manage a patient panel, including follow-ups, in-basket monitoring, and participation in after-hours coverage rotations

Requirements

? Education

• Required: Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner

? Licenses & Certifications

• Required:
• Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (as required by department)

? Skills:

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning abilities
• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume patient panel effectively
• Strong collaboration skills within interdisciplinary healthcare teams
