About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience is preferred. - Patient ratio experience: 1:1. - Preferred experience with Epic charting system. Description: The unit accepts first-time travelers. Diagnoses and cases include but are not limited to orthopedic, spine, general, eye, and plastics. This is a small unit where the manager needs flexible candidates for scheduling based on the unit's needs. Weekend coverage is included in call requirements. Call is one day during the week and two 24-hour weekend shifts per six-week schedule at minimum. Floating is required within the facility/scope of practice as needed. Compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the onboarding will be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler must work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Full compliance is required, with all documents due by the specified deadline. Modules will be completed during orientation and are essential for compliance. Please note that locals are accepted at the same rate. All requests for time off must be finalized upon submission. No time off requests can be made post-offer or on-site. Compliance documentation must be submitted timely to ensure a smooth onboarding process. The daily census is approximately eight cases, with six rooms allocated for procedures. Interdisciplinary support includes various services, and the unit operates with an emphasis on safety and infection control. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
