Research Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Management and Organization Department in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applications for a research assistant. The purpose of the job is to help with faculty research by examining the language in news articles and other organizational related text data. The duties of the job are: use natural language or machine learning techniques to help identify the language themes in a variety of organizational-related text data. web scrapping and data cleaning/combining skills may also be needed. Ideal candidates will have programming experience. This is a part‑time job position, and the selected candidate is expected to work approximately 10-20 hours per week for the s pring 2024 semester.
