Dentistry Program Coordinator

Dentistry Program Coordinator Location: Postle Hall (0024). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, on‑site. Shift: First Shift. Position type: Regular, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $51,500–$67,250, based on experience and education. Responsibilities Coordination and maintenance of new courses and academic programs approved by the Dentistry curriculum committee, including update of the course catalog and prerequisites. Independent creation and management of the college’s course and final exam schedule; scheduling rooms and times for exam accommodations. Initiating curricular changes through the university’s curricular approval system and managing student registration and degree audits. Liaison to Student Life Disability Services Office for exam accommodations and to the Registrar’s office for course scheduling and approvals. Route and track approval workflow of courses, degree programs, and the course catalog; provide technical and strategic recommendations to resolve scheduling or curricular discrepancies. Implementation of policies and procedures for student education record management; oversight of student and enrollment records in the Student Information System. Analysis of workflows, identification of problems, and development of enhancements to better serve students while ensuring regulatory compliance. Submission of licensure documentation to the Ohio Board or other state boards; procedural guidance to students for registration, graduation, and enrollment/degree completion verification letters. Administrative support to curriculum and interprofessional education committee meetings; coordination of all curricular and interprofessional events, including graduation and pre‑commencement. Oversight of commencement activities including diploma proofing and line‑up; attendance at weekly staff meetings and provision of backup for Academic Affairs needs. Service on college committees such as the DDS Curriculum Committee and the Academic Progress Committee; liaison to the University Registrar, Office of Commencement, and Special Events. Collaboration with other health‑science colleges for data sharing, common activities, and policies focused on students and curriculum. Use of university platforms to generate and analyze enrollment, grade, or other student data as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four years of experience in academic administration or registrar services. Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in student information systems (SIS) and university platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) or Operational Data Store (ODS). Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple responsibilities; knowledge of university, state, and federal rules and regulations related to student registration and records. Experience in data analysis and reporting; excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Master’s degree.
