Position Overview Medical Assistant Certified - Posting #26125 Hourly Rate: $23.39 Full‑time Medical Assistant position available for our Marysville Medical Clinic. Ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer service skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multitasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team; ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish. Bilingual in other languages welcome. Must be available to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule after being fully trained. Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID‑19 and flu vaccine organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The MA is responsible for ensuring that all patient clinical measures are addressed by doing thorough EHR reviews, tracking and documenting all clinical measures/outcomes for patients. Coordinates and processes all patient referrals, for both internal and external services. Works collaboratively with all care team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served. Identifies and categorizes each patient’s age‑specific grouping of needs and clinical measures. Assists providers in serving an average of 18/21 patients per day. Prepares for the Care Team Huddle and patient visits, obtaining subjective information and vital signs. Documents all relevant information and processes per Sea Mar protocol. Prepares exam and procedure rooms per protocol. Administers IM, SubQ, intradermal injections, and oral, rectal, inhaled medication as ordered. Maintains medication and immunization data, reconciling and documenting administration. Attendance at regular staff meetings and in‑service training. Ensures medication storage, maintenance, dispensing, and waste logs comply with policy. Performs quality controls and reports non‑compliance. Assists with GYN exams, I&Ds, and minor procedures. Communicates provider delays and patient flow delays professionally. Ensures safe management of bio‑hazardous waste. Assists with pharmacy requests and lab orders. Supports infection control and standard precautions. Uses nursing parameters of EHR and Practice Management Application programs. Complies with regulatory requirements: Joint Commission, NPSG, Department of Health, PCMH, QI. If acting as a scribe, demonstrates proficiency as a scribe. Always complies with HIPAA regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Personnel and Performance Metrics Adheres to schedule, ready to provide services by 8:00 AM. Provides customer service using AIDET skills. Completes quality care gaps for 100% of patients. Provides services to a minimum of ten patients a day. Supports Follow My Health enrollment. Closes chart notes within 24 hours of service. Supports an average of 21 patient visits a day for MD, 18 for ARNP/PA. Education and Requirements Must hold Washington State Medical Assistant Certificate. Minimum one year of experience as an MA/Assistant in Family Medicine preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required and maintained throughout employment. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
