CDL-A Oilfield Driver – Frac Sand / Dry Bulk Hauling

Location: Texas & Regional Routes
Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: 25% of weekly billed revenue
Average Weekly Earnings: Approximately $3,000
Typical Weekly Earnings: Approximately $2,000–$4,000, depending on loads, commodity, customer demand, and billed revenue
Routes: Local and regional, typically 30–200 miles
Equipment: Automatic sleeper trucks; company truck and trailer provided

Experienced Class A CDL Drivers Wanted

We are hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for local and regional oilfield, frac sand, dry bulk, cement, and aggregate hauling .

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity for experienced Class A CDL truck drivers with at least 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience and an acceptable DOT/MVR driving record.

Oilfield and frac sand hauling experience is strongly preferred but not required. Experienced OTR, regional, pneumatic, dry bulk, hopper bottom, belly dump, or other commercial Class A drivers may also be considered. Training can be provided for qualified drivers who have strong professional driving experience but are new to oilfield hauling.

Drivers typically complete approximately 2–3 loads per day , with routes generally ranging from 30–200 miles . Freight and equipment assignments may change based on customer demand, so drivers must be comfortable with a flexible hauling environment.

Compensation

• 25% of weekly billed revenue
• Average weekly earnings of approximately $3,000
• Typical weekly earnings of approximately $2,000–$4,000
• Earnings vary based on commodity, billed revenue, load availability, customer demand, and driver availability
• Weekly pay/settlement
• High-demand customer locations and loads are prioritized by dispatch

What You'll Haul

Depending on customer demand and assignment, drivers may haul materials such as:

• Frac sand and dry sand
• Wet sand
• Cement and cement-related materials
• Ash
• Aggregate and other dry bulk materials

Drivers may haul one type of material one day and a different commodity the next. Flexibility is important.

Experience with frac sand hauling, pneumatic trailers, hopper bottom trailers, belly dumps, bottom hoppers, single-box chassis, or double-box chassis is especially valuable.

Equipment & Driver Support

Company-provided equipment and support include:

• Automatic semi truck and trailer
• Sleeper-equipped trucks with a bed
• Refrigerator and microwave
• Fuel card
• Truck maintenance
• Insurance on company-provided truck and equipment
• Dispatch and scheduling support
• GPS-equipped trucks
• No in-cab cameras

Company equipment is preferred and provided for this opportunity.

Owner-operators may also be considered under separately negotiated terms. Owner-operator arrangements follow a different approval and compensation process.

Schedule & Routes

This is local and regional CDL-A hauling , not traditional cross-country OTR.

Typical routes are approximately 30–200 miles , although assignments depend on customer demand and freight availability.

Loads are available around the clock, and drivers should be prepared for flexible start times and schedules based on customer and oilfield demand.

Typical workload is approximately 2–3 loads per day .

Required Qualifications

To be considered, drivers must meet the following requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL / CDL-A
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Must meet company and carrier insurance eligibility requirements; the current insurance program requires drivers to be age 25 or older
• Acceptable DOT and motor vehicle driving record
• No accidents within the past 12 months
• No driving violations that would make the driver ineligible under company or carrier insurance requirements
• Must meet applicable DOT requirements
• Must be able to pass required drug screening and maintain a valid DOT medical certification, as applicable
• Ability to safely operate commercial tractor-trailer equipment
• Ability to communicate consistently and professionally with dispatch
• Must be flexible regarding load type, equipment, customer location, and scheduling

Preferred Experience

Oilfield experience is strongly preferred, including experience as a:

• Oilfield CDL Driver
• Frac Sand Driver
• Sand Hauling Driver
• Pneumatic Tanker / Pneumatic Trailer Driver
• Dry Bulk Driver
• Hopper Bottom Driver
• Belly Dump Driver
• Bottom Hopper Driver
• Cement Hauling Driver
• Oil & Gas Truck Driver
• Regional CDL-A Driver
• Class A Truck Driver

Oilfield experience is not required for every candidate. Drivers with significant OTR, regional, or other Class A tractor-trailer experience are encouraged to apply. Qualified experienced drivers can be trained on the specific hauling operation and equipment.

Driver Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned tractor and trailer
• Transport sand, cement, ash, aggregate, and other bulk materials
• Complete local and regional loads according to dispatch instructions
• Safely operate around oilfield, industrial, and customer locations
• Follow DOT, customer, and company safety requirements
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate required driver and load documentation
• Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding loads, availability, and delivery status
• Keep assigned equipment clean and presentable
• Adapt to changing freight, equipment, and customer demand

1099 Independent Contractor Opportunity

This is a 1099 independent contractor position compensated through a revenue-share model rather than a fixed hourly wage or salary.
