Position Summary: The Supervisor, Logistics Process & Inventory Control is responsible for overseeing daily management of the Logistics Coordinator team. Primary duties include reviewing and analyzing data to support the design and improvement of inventory stocking strategies, lean material process flows, maximization of order execution, fulfillment, and inventory throughput while maintaining world class accuracy. This individual aids in the supervision of training, mentoring, and developing new hires including the maintenance and update of update of Logistics’ standard work. This role typically requires 3+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, with a focus on inventory stocking strategies, flow, and overseeing standard work maintenance. The Supervisor, Logistics Process & Inventory Control works collaboratively with internal departments including Quality, IT, Supply Chain, and Web Marketing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review historical data and future forecasts to strategically assign materials to an area and location that is appropriate for its value, size, and velocity of picking.
• Analyze the velocity, volume of items to improve picking labor efficiencies, speed and flow of goods through the warehouse increasing picking accuracy, safety, ergonomics, and reduction in damage and shrinkage.
• Manage SKU level and location level attributes and data to drive automated putaway and optimize slotting.
• Manage slotting for new and existing materials.
• Manage replenishment strategy and release tasks.
• Develop, collect, and maintain latest revision levels of documented information to control product realization processes.
• Lead timely distribution, training, and sign-off of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users.
• Lead efforts to keep track of current documentation and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from work areas. Collaborate closely with those assigned to document control duties in specific departments, as applicable.
• Analyze and diagnose problems and malfunctions to expedite and coordinate corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
• Provide information and collaborate with Logistics leadership to assist with and/or implement programs related to work simplification, cost reduction, new methods, labor hour planning, and scheduling.
• Assist with warehouse design and/or time studies to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate daily with Logistics management to ensure staffing and tasks are achieved.
• Participate in and coordinate internal programs, such as communications, vacation schedules, employee performance reviews, wage administration, etc. 
• Prepare reports and recommendations for Logistics leadership.
• Address employee concerns fairly, and timely, promoting trust, and accountability.
• Maintain communication between employees and leadership to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
• Support team development through targeted training and professional growth opportunities, ensure staff are equipped to manage their responsibilities effectively.
• Deliver clear, consistent, and timely feedback to employees, ensuring performance is consistently documented and excellence is recognized and rewarded, driving motivation and continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor employees, facilitate career development conversations, identify growth opportunities.
• Hands on supervisor 75% of the time with 25% designated for true supervision.
• Assign work to utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, and tools to the best advantages to obtain most favorable costs, accuracy, and completeness.
• Lead and actively volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
• Communicate effectively to management regarding problems and offer solutions to complex problems and responsible for troubleshooting storage and workflow issues.
• Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education/Experience & Skills:

• Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, preferred. 3+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, with a focus on lean process flow or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 1+ years of previous experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of WMS including Oracle EBS preferred, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
• Help in other parts of the team regularly, work with and relay information to other departments regularly.
• Capable of completing all tasks ahead of schedule and actively look for more, while assisting others.

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
• Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
