The Role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in spaceflight payload design and integration. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering flight-ready hardware for advanced habitat and payload missions within a fast-moving, engineering-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for spaceflight payloads
• Own payload integration from concept through qualification
• Perform CAD, structural, and thermal analysis
• Support environmental testing and flight readiness activities
• Work closely with systems, structures, and mission teams
• Mentor and support junior engineers

Required Experience

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years in space hardware or payload development
• Strong CAD and analysis background
• Experience with spaceflight standards and qualification testing

Nice to Have

• Habitat or modular payload experience
• Launch vehicle integration exposure
• Human-rated or crewed spaceflight background
