Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Florida State Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred. Clinical experience treating musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions required. Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and one-on-one treatment sessions preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry required. Ability to supervise and mentor students and support staff. Prior experience in a teaching or precepting role preferred. Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education as required by the Florida Practice Act. Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols including safe patient handling and infection control procedures. Assignment Details Facility Type: Outpatient clinic. Schedule: 5x8 shift pattern. Caseload includes 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions. Clinical duties include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment plans, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication. Candidate may be expected to float to other clinic locations within the region as needed. Location Highlights Crestview, FL offers access to both natural and cultural attractions within short drives. The city is approximately 30 miles from Pensacola and 40 miles from the Gulf Coast beaches such as Okaloosa Island, providing coastal recreation and waterfront access. Crestview is within a one-hour drive of Blackwater River State Park and Eglin Air Force Base grounds, offering hiking, paddling, and outdoor adventure options. The area provides a suburban lifestyle with easy commutes to regional shopping centers, local dining districts, and community events, and is located along U.S. Highway 90 and close to Interstate 10 for regional transit and travel connections.
