Department: MCR Pharmacy
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), 12:30pm - 9:00pm
Shift: Evenings
Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Provides support to pharmacists and other care team members by gathering and recording accurate information related to patients' home or prescribed medications at a proficient level.
Responsibilities:
Interacts with patients and/or patient representatives to compile a valid list of home medications. Performs verification and clarification of information with the patient and pharmacist/care team members.
Communicates with retail pharmacies, ambulatory care clinics, third-party insurance, patients, and other resources to gather information and recognize knowledge of appropriate/specific drugs within scope. Maintains accuracy in data collection.
Assists department to accurately resolve patient safety issues related to medication use.
Records and submits information in the patients EHR and/or other related programs in a timely manner.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Pharmacy Technician certification from Colorado Board of Pharmacy (PHAT).
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
