Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position in a small, brand-new urban facility. Located in a rapidly growing healthcare setting, this role involves managing diverse patient populations, including neonates, geriatrics, and pediatrics, with a focus on walk-in traumas and multiple medical specialties. The position offers evening shifts with a strong emphasis on patient care, clinical skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Off-campus emergency department open 24/7 in a small acute care facility with 8-10 beds, opening on 11/03.
  • Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, with every-other weekend rotation.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of emergency room experience (any trauma level), current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a traveler telemetry competency prior to start.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC.
  • Support on the Unit: Charge nurse, emergency department medication dispensing technician, front desk staff, and EST/Phlebotomy team.
  • Equipment/Charting System: EPIC electronic health record, Pyxis medication system, Alaris infusion pumps.
  • Orientation: 1 hospital orientation day, 8-hour respiratory class, full day on the unit.
  • Additional information: No floating required; scrubs may be any color; parking is free.
  • Other notes: First-time traveler; 36 hours minimum per week; start date 11/02/2026; end date 01/30/2027; support may be provided for performing as charge nurse if needed.
