COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Rutland Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Rutland, Vermont. Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on strengthening, walking, and functional mobility exercises

• Conduct occupational therapy treatments, including but not limited to: range of motion exercises, muscle strengthening, and functional activities

• Use assistive technology, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and assistive devices, to enhance patient mobility and independence

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper use of assistive devices and compensatory strategies to maintain independence

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

• Adapt and modify treatment plans as needed to meet the changing needs of patients
