Junior Product Engineer (United States)

Build the Future of P&C Insurance with Claimtouch

Claimtouch is transforming how property insurance claims are handled. We partner with leading insurers to modernize claims operations, improve customer outcomes, and deliver measurable business value through technology and process improvement. Today, our customers include several top US P&C insurers, as well as many of the industry's most innovative insurtech companies.

We're looking for a talented Junior Product Engineer who wants to grow quickly, take ownership, and help us build the next generation of insurance technology.

At Claimtouch, engineers don't just implement tickets. You'll learn to understand the problems our customers face, contribute to how we solve them, and build solutions that make it all the way into production.

You'll work closely with experienced engineers while gradually taking ownership of increasingly complex features and technical decisions. You'll get exposure to the entire product—from frontend and backend development to cloud infrastructure and AI.

We're not looking for someone who already knows everything. We're looking for someone who is curious, learns quickly, takes initiative, and wants responsibility.

If you're excited about building real products, learning from experienced people, and developing into an engineer who can independently take a problem from idea to production, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll do

You'll contribute directly to the development of Claimtouch while building the skills to become an increasingly independent Product Engineer.

Your responsibilities include:

· Build and improve features used by our customers.

· Work across different parts of our product, including frontend, backend, infrastructure, data, and AI.

· Learn to take features from an initial problem or idea through implementation and into production.

· Investigate technical and product problems and contribute ideas for how to solve them.

· Work closely with experienced engineers on architecture, implementation, and product decisions.

· Use modern AI tools as part of your everyday development workflow.

· Contribute to automated testing and continuously improve the quality of our codebase.

· Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback.

· Help deploy, monitor, debug, and maintain production systems.

· Gradually participate in customer and product discussions to understand the problems behind what we build.

As you grow, you'll take ownership of increasingly complex features and have greater influence over both technical and product decisions.

Who You Are

You're early in your engineering career, but you're ambitious about where you want to go.

You enjoy figuring things out. When you encounter something you don't understand, your instinct is to investigate, experiment, and learn.

You don't expect every task to come with detailed instructions. You'll try to solve a problem yourself, but you're also comfortable asking for help when you need it.

You're interested in more than writing code. You want to understand the product, the customer, and why you're building something in the first place.

Most importantly, you want responsibility and are motivated to earn more of it as you grow.

What we are looking for

We're more interested in potential, curiosity, initiative, and learning velocity than a specific number of years of experience.

We're looking for someone who:

· Has a solid foundation in software development and has demonstrated an ability to build working software.

· Learns new technologies and concepts quickly.

· Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems.

· Is comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and learning from them.

· Responds well to feedback and actively uses it to improve.

· Knows when to investigate independently and when to ask for help.

· Cares about product quality and customer outcomes, not just completing a technical task.

· Communicates openly about progress, challenges, and things they don't understand.

· Is pragmatic, curious, and open-minded about how software should be built.

· Wants to work across different parts of a product rather than specialize too early.

You might be a recent graduate, a self-taught developer, or already have some professional software development experience. We're less interested in the path you took than in what you can demonstrate and how you approach problems.

Career Opportunity

This role is designed for someone who wants to grow quickly.

You'll have the opportunity to work across the entire lifecycle of a modern SaaS product rather than being limited to one narrow part of the technology stack.

As you develop, you'll have the opportunity to:

· Own increasingly important product features.

· Participate in architecture and technical decisions.

· Work directly with customers and understand how they use what you build.

· Explore and implement new AI capabilities.

· Help improve our engineering practices and technical platform.

· Take on greater technical and product responsibility as Claimtouch grows.

Your growth won't be defined by a rigid career ladder. It will be driven by the problems you're ready to own.

Compensation & Benefits

We're looking for an exceptional talent and have designed a compensation package that reflects the importance of this role.

The package includes:

• Highly competitive base salary.
• Performance-based annual bonus.
• Meaningful equity ownership with significant long-term upside.
• A clear path to leadership as the company grows.

We believe exceptional people should get a piece of the value they create.
