Location: Hybrid/Remote: The successful candidate can work on a Hybrid/Remote basis, reporting into one of our offices located in Pennsylvania or North Carolina. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Sales Executive will play a critical role in driving new revenue, expanding existing accounts, and shaping how life sciences organizations adopt cutting-edge software and services. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on building pipeline in a technically complex, relationship-driven market. You'll operate at the intersection of SaaS, data, and life sciences, bringing a consultative, commercially sharp approach to every opportunity. We are looking for an individual who is relentlessly proactive in the pursuit of identifying opportunities without direction & also someone who is digitally savvy in using AI and tools available to build pipeline from market signals. What You'll Do
• Proactively identify, target, and convert new opportunities across your territory — this is a true hunter role, not just account management. • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and close. • Develop strategic relationships within existing clients to unlock upsell and cross-sell opportunities. • Use CRM insights (Salesforce) to manage pipeline health, forecast accurately, and prioritize high-value opportunities. • Partner with Solution Engineers to deliver compelling, tech-forward demonstrations aligned to client challenges. • Represent Instem at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build brand and pipeline. • Work closely with Sales Ops, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless deal booking and project delivery. • Adherence to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently.
What We're Looking For
• Proven success in new business sales (hunter role) within SaaS, software, or tech-enabled services • Solid understanding of sales cycles, pipeline management, and deal progression • Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage and forecast pipeline • Strong negotiation and closing skills • Background in life sciences or regulated industries is a plus • Degree qualified or equivalent commercial experience • Knowledge of our Quality Management System and its application to tasks associated with this role
