Job Summary:

The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in emergency room (ER) care for a position in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. This contract position involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including charge nurse shifts and charting using EPIC electronic health record system. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin


• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour variable shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin registered nurse (RN) license; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); at least 2 years of emergency room nursing experience; Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; minimum of 0 years of experience (no prior experience required beyond minimum); candidates must be able to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

  • Float: May need to float to Aspirus Rhinelander, Howard Young, or Eagle River if needed, with prescheduled float occurrences.
  
  
  • On call: Placement on call during low census hours with on-call pay.
  
  
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every third weekend and every other holiday; every other holiday rotation.
  
  
  • Experience with charting in EPIC electronic health records is required.
  
  
  • The contract length is 13 weeks, with a start date of June 15, 2026, and coverage beginning as soon as possible.
  
  
  • ER RN will have Charge RN shifts as well.
  
  
  • The contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
