Dietary Support Aide I

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Dietary Support Aide I will be vital in ensuring patient satisfaction through timely meal delivery and maintaining cleanliness standards.

This position involves washing, sanitizing, and organizing patient and cafeteria trays, utensils, and dishware, as well as minor food preparation tasks and transporting meals to patient areas.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air dry dishes, pots, and pans according to assignment.
• Deliver patient meals promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Assemble patient trays following the menu guidelines.
• Complete temperature and cleaning logs to maintain proper sanitation.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience:

Up to 3 months of food service experience, which can be gained through on-the-job training or previous roles.

Certification/License:

Not applicable.

Mental and physical requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic math.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to read, write, and understand policies and procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds during shifts.

Working conditions:

Exposure to kitchen heat, noise, wet floors, hot steam, water, chemicals, glass breakage, and sharp knives. May come into contact with patients.
