Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Urology to join our outpatient clinic. This role primarily involves catheter exchanges and requires consistent experience in this area for the past six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform catheter exchanges consistently throughout the day.
• Provide nursing care to a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 6-8 patients.
• Conduct various urological procedures, including intravesicular BCG mixing and administration, trial of void, trial of passage, and self-catheterization.
• Utilize electronic health records and chart patient information accurately, primarily using Epic.
• Engage in patient education and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Urology nursing background required.
• Prior experience in emergency room, pre/post-operative settings, day surgery, ambulatory care, or home health is preferred.
• Travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Must hold a compact nursing license valid in the state of practice.
• At least one year of nursing experience with recent outpatient clinic experience is needed.
• Experience with catheter management and demonstrating competencies in fast-paced environments.

Special Requirements

This position does not require floating between units or on-call hours. Weekend work is not required. However, the candidate must commit to working three out of five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Unit Details
