MEDICAL SURGICAL STAFF NURSE

The main focus of the unit is the provision of safe and quality-driven care reflective of evidenced-based practice. We receive our patients from a variety of sources: emergency room, direct admissions, transfers from other hospitals, intensive care, and other units. The unit is fast paced, dynamic environment with exposure to Trauma and all different types of surgeries. You will have the opportunity to cross train into Surgical Step Down and SICU. This is a great opportunity to advance your career into Level 1 Trauma SICU. You will receive EKG training, ACLS, and CEU credit annually. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Interprets patient data accurately, utilize data independently or in consultation with other healthcare professionals to plan and revise care BENEFITS:

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: The Registered Nurse will have current RN Licensure in the State of Illinois
- The Registered Nurse shows dedication to enriching the lives of our patients through empathy and compassion

- Develop and implement a plan of care through delivery and delegation of care
- Participates in patient/family education
- Participates in communication and collaboration with patients, families, Physicians and other healthcare professionals involving patient care
- Respond accordingly in emergency situations for Codes
- Adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures
