Personal Banker

As a Personal Banker will work with customers, helping them manage their personal finances and achieve their financial goals. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services. This role requires you to provide expert guidance on accounts and other financial solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty, while supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail banking, customer service, or financial services is required.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse customers.
  • Proficiency with banking software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to assess their financial needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
  • Open, maintain, and close various types of accounts including checking, savings, and certificates of deposit.
  • Educate clients on digital banking tools and services to enhance their banking experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures during all customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Skills:

In this role, strong communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and explaining financial products clearly. Attention to detail ensures accuracy in processing transactions and compliance with regulations. Sales and negotiation skills help in identifying opportunities to offer additional products that benefit both the client and the bank. Additionally, proficiency with digital banking platforms and software tools enables efficient service delivery and enhances the overall customer experience.
