AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in Prince Fredrick, MD to hire a School Psychologist to work in the area, providing services to children of all ages.This School Psychologist will provide counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population (treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders) to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development. Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issue.They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments, provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed. They will also coordinate outreach activities that support students and families including pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and agencies such as DCF, DMH, etc.Benefits BoxSchool assignments are typically 9 months in length but can vary depending on the length of the contract and school calendar. Required Qualifications

Psychologist, School Licenses: PSY-MD &bull

Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology &bull

State Certification and / or Licensure as a School Psychologist &bull

Experience working in a School Setting is Preferred &bull

Strong Knowledge of Child Development, Learning Theories, and Behavioral Interventions &bull

Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Organizational skills &bull

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members &bull

Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings &bull

Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations

Preferred Qualifications
