Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool Portland, Maine. This position requires adaptable ICU nursing professionals willing to float to multiple units within the organization. The role emphasizes exceptional patient care, teamwork, and flexibility to meet patient needs across various ICU settings, including neuro, surgical, trauma, and cardiac intensive care units.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 3 years of ICU experience, current RN licensure, ability to float to Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CICU, strong patient care focus, team communication skills, and flexibility to adapt to different units and patient populations
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience floating in hospital settings, excellent clinical skills, and ability to work independently
• Additional Information: Candidates must have acute care hospital experience and be flexible to float across ICU units including SICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and CICU. Responsibilities include caring for sedated, intubated, and pressor patients, with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the unit. The role involves maintaining high standards of patient safety and teamwork in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
