About This Role The Staff Nurse in Nursing 10e at Mount Sinai Morningside is responsible for the care activities and goal achievements of assigned patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and intervention in health problems. Highlights Pay: $64.2353/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Morningside Department/Unit: Nursing 10e - STL Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Conduct nursing assessment based on interview, examination, observation, and review of patient records. Ensure that the patient's progress is reflected in progress notes and revised care plans. Perform discharge planning consistent with the patient's status. Communicate information to the patient based on their level of awareness and readiness to learn. Support orientation of new staff members by providing feedback and acting as a preceptor. Function as a professional role model and mentor for students and volunteers. Organize provision of care to meet priority needs of patients and unit. Communicate condition of patients requiring additional intervention to leadership. Participate in the development of other staff members. Reflect collaborative efforts in meeting patient and unit needs through communication. Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) RN who is matriculated in a BSN Program with a graduation date within the year. Experience: 1+ year of nursing experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York. BCLS certification required. ACLS certification required for specific departments. PALS certification required for specific departments. Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certificate required for specific departments.
