General Surgeon

Call of 1:3 Surgeon will be employed by hospital. 2-year contract includes base salary (note: salary field does not reflect actual base salary) along with production and quality incentives (additional compensation field does not reflect actual range of incentive income). Relocation allowance; health, dental, vision, and life insurances are offered. Malpractice occurrence-based coverage is provided. 401k plus an Executive Compensation Plan adding 10 percent to annual salary. 6 weeks of vacation; 1 week of CME; 6 legal holidays. Licenses are paid for by employer. CME allowance is given annually. Inpatient and outpatient surgery suites are in the same building. Clinic connected to hospital. Qualifications Does this describe you? Are you board eligible or already board certified? Are you currently ATLS certified? Do you have ties to the Upper Midwest? Is 1:3 call acceptable to you? Are you able to start in a new practice in early 2015? The Ideal Candidate 3 to 5 years of experience since completing residency/fellowship. Bread and butter surgery with a touch of trauma and breast surgeries. Procedures include: adult and some pediatric surgeries. * Laparoscopic surgeries * Appendectomy * Cholecystectomy * Breast surgeries * Chest tube insertion * Head/neck surgeries (including thyroid) preferred Willing to take call of 1:3.
