Center for Education Programs, MCBA Events and Meetings, Whats Happening CLE Possession of Juris Doctor Degree from a NYS school or regionally accredited law school Attorney admitted to practice in NYS Experience and/or education in public sector labor law, education law, collective bargaining and human resources preferred Duties: Work with component districts on labor, employment and education law issues; Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements; Analyze regional data for wages and benefits and draft comparable reports; Serve as hearing officer in student discipline hearings; Assist with employee issues, including conducting investigations; Keep up to date on legal issues in the field and apprise districts of changes; Represent school districts in grievances, PERB actions; and certain administrative matters. Performs other related duties as required.
