Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, technology areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts, damaged property, or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
