This role focuses on driving efficiency, ensuring safety, and promoting continuous improvement in all assembly processes.**Essential Functions*** Lead and develop assembly team members to maximize efficiency, equipment value, cross-training, and employee growth.* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging available tools and resources to reduce machine downtime and improve processes.* Oversee adherence to standard work processes and identify ongoing training needs.* Support planning and evaluation of future assembly equipment investments.* Partner with the Quality team to address non-conformances, ensuring effective containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.* Ensure readiness for rapid response to meet customer needs and production demands.* Proactively identify equipment issues and collaborate with Maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance activities.* Promote and sustain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and training initiatives.* Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments; promptly address and correct unsafe conditions or practices.* Monitor and forecast monthly business and financial commitments.* Perform additional duties as assigned.**Education & Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience.* Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Strong technical expertise in machining, painting, fabrication, materials, blueprint reading, NC programs, routings, tooling, and fixturing.* Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.* Proven problem-solving, planning, and scheduling capabilities.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.* Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, including increasing throughput, reducing cycle time, and improving inventory turns.#LI-SG1*At Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
