PATIENT CARE TECH - OBSERVATION UNIT

Position: Patient Care Tech Department: Observation Unit Shift: 7:00AM-7:30PM Part Time Days, 24 hours a week, 48 hours per pay period Facility: Atrium Medical Center Responsibilities Check things like temperature, heartbeat, and breathing. Help patients move around, get dressed, and eat. Collect samples like urine. Report any changes in a patient's condition to a nurse. Help with patient walks, hygiene, weighing patients, and vital signs. Qualifications Education: You need a high school diploma or GED. Training: You need a BLS CPR certificate. If you don’t already have it, they can teach you how to do CPR at your orientation. Experience: No prior job experience is required, but you should have one of the following: Finished STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training. Helped care for patients in the past 5 years (e.g., taking temperature, bathing, or helping with toileting). Currently in nursing school and completed one clinical rotation. Other Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain courteous, even when interrupted. Proficient with computers. Strong organizational abilities.
