Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant support under licensed PT supervision, implementing treatment plans for medically complex patients
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait and balance activities, transfers, and mobility training
- Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, monitor patient responses, and document progress per facility policy
- Support patient safety through proper transfer techniques, fall precautions, and infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with PTs, nursing staff, and other team members to coordinate care and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain equipment, chart progress notes, and ensure compliance with documentation standards and safety protocols

Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Experience in LTAC or skilled nursing settings preferred; travel assignment experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced LTAC environment and adapt to shifting schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
