Registered Nurse - Radiology
Education Requirements: Graduate of a school of Professional Nursing. Licensed by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Current certification in BLS, PALS, and ACLS.
Experience: Entry Level
Skills: Must use holistic approach to nursing care. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate competency in basic nursing skills. Must possess the ability to learn basic computer skills.
Physical Demands: Good physical and mental health. Must be able to lift, bend, pull and push, using good body mechanics, without limitations. Must possess visual acuity, with corrective lenses, if necessary, to read printed material and visualize patients to the degree that changes in color or respirations can be detected; must possess good hearing ability with auditory aids, if necessary, to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker and auscultation of the chest using a stethoscope; and speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. Must demonstrate the ability to wear properly fitting respiratory protective mask for periods of time without limitations. Able to work under supervision or independently as directed by the situation. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
Supervises: Care of a group of patients and nursing personnel assigned to the team. Supervised By: Senior Staff Nurses in Radiology, Radiologist, Director of Radiology

Registered Nurse Core Utilizes the nursing process in planning or providing care for patients/residents ages (adolescent, adult and geriatric). Maintains safe environment for patients/residents, co-workers and self. Assumes responsibility for professional activities. Demonstrates effective leadership and organizational skills.
Registered Nurse - Radiology Utilizes the nursing process in administering care to cardiac, medical, and surgical patients ages pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Maintains safe environment for patients, coworkers, and self. Demonstrates effective organizational skills. Assumes responsibility for professional activities. Assumes responsibility for assigned duties, providing care for patients ages adult and geriatric.
