Job Opportunity: Gastroenterologist Physician

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated Gastroenterologist to enhance our Gastroenterology practice, delivering clinical services at community-based facilities located in Maple Grove, Edina, and Minneapolis, MN. We seek a professional who is committed to providing exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with our organizational goals.

Practice Highlights
  • This role will be a vital part of our team, contributing to the delivery of gastrointestinal care while benefiting from a well-established referral network and a close-knit practice atmosphere, alongside access to extensive academic resources from the University of Minnesota.
  • The position is full-time (1.0 FTE), with approximately 30% of the time dedicated to patient consultations in the clinic and 70% focused on performing outpatient endoscopic procedures.
  • Our practice is supported by an advanced practice provider and additional staff members.
  • Work locations include the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, Southdale Hospital, and Specialty Centers in Maple Grove and Edina.
  • Collaborate with fellow Gastroenterology specialists within the University of Minnesota, focusing on areas such as pancreaticobiliary diseases, transplant hepatology, inflammatory bowel diseases, esophageal disorders, and microbiota research.
  • Join a vibrant and collegial team of Gastroenterologists, many of whom have been recognized as Top Doctors by Minnesota Monthly.
  • Experience a diverse mix of inpatient, outpatient/virtual care, and procedural work.
  • Utilize a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record system (EPIC).
  • There is a high demand for complex GI cases, providing a stimulating practice environment with a substantial internal referral base.
  • Opportunities exist to develop specialized programs of interest, along with leadership roles and autonomy.
  • On-call responsibilities are shared equally within the Gastroenterology Division, with a ratio of 1:10.
  • Work in state-of-the-art facilities featuring new clinics and endoscopy suites.
  • We offer avenues for ongoing professional development through educational conferences, CME opportunities, and collaboration with leading specialists.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology fellowship training program.
  • Board certification with the ABIM in internal medicine and board eligibility/certification in gastroenterology.
  • Possession or the ability to obtain a medical license and DEA registration in Minnesota, meeting the necessary criteria for credentialing and privileges.
  • Eligibility to receive work authorization in the U.S. from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, maintaining legal status as per VISA requirements.

  • The salary range for this full-time position is between $423,293 and $783,365, based on experience, with potential for incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific pay. Salary will be prorated according to FTE.
