This is a seasonal role within EY's National Tax Department (NTD) and Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice, which assists companies with all aspects of their financial reporting for income taxes including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.Key responsibilitiesProvide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, and enhance the control environment; assess tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.Skills and attributes for successTax accounting projects and consultingTax provision preparation/review and related processesProcess and controls enhancementKey risks identification, prioritization, monitoring and remediationQualificationsA bachelor's degree in a related field, with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferredValid US CPA license or active state bar membershipMinimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRSBroad understanding and experience with federal income taxationStrong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detailIdeally, you'll also haveStrong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experienceExperience in corporate tax planning and compliance; broad exposure to federal income taxationWhat we look forWe seek candidates with strong tax and tax accounting knowledge, the ability to lead and motivate others, the skills to manage large engagements, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.What we offerAt EY, we'll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
