Network EngineerPosition: ContractLocation: This will need to be physically located in the State of Maine. We can have them located in Brewer or in Portland, but statewide travel will be required.Work Hours: Mainly day time hours, however, during cutovers they may have to work nights.Description:Positions in this function typically involve providing network related analysis, design, and integration services.This includes coordination between clients, vendors, and other internal support services and includes both data and voice.TCP/IP Fundamentals, 3-6 Years, Competent; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), 1-3 Years, Competent; Cisco Router Products, 1-3 Years, Competent; Cisco Switches, 3-6 Years, Competent;Top 5-10 Responsibilities:1. Upgrade Cisco switches2. Visit data closets to scope out needs for hardware replacement3. Configure replacement equipment4. Work with the departments to schedule installation and file change control notices.5. Physically replace the hardwareType of education this candidate needs: High School diplomaSoftware skills needed:Need to be able to work with PCs and Cisco equipment.Must have experience with support of PCs in an enterprise environment and required that they also have Cisco switching experience (2-3 years) as well as other Cisco network experience. Intermediate level of installation and support.
