Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant plays a key role within Malin's Finance Department by supporting day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, inventory accounting, and operational support. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare routine journal entries and perform account reconciliationsSupport the accounting team in month end close process and reportingAssist with daily inventory reconciliation and maintenance in alignment with sales operations.Support sales operations through processing Customer Sales Invoices, Vendor Credits and Buy-Outs.Assist in gathering support and documentation for internal and external auditsContribute to process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts across the Finance DepartmentEnsure compliance with internal controls and company policiesAd hoc responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsCollege degree in Accounting or Business required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfort working with large data sets; experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detailPreferred SkillsExperience in accounting, public accounting, or financeExperience with ERP or accounting softwareFamiliarity with inventory reporting, fixed asset management, or sales tax compliance
