Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or mental illnesses.
- Provide treatment services and recreational therapy using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dance, drama, and community outings.
- Assess client needs and evaluate the effectiveness of recreational therapy interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Educate clients and their families about the benefits of recreational therapy.
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
