Database Engineer/Administrator

Salary: $88,680 - 168,480 per year Requirements:

• We have at least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer and/or in cloud modernization.
• We bring strong expertise in data mining, data storage, and ETL workflows.
• We have hands-on experience building data pipelines and using tools such as Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or Dataproc.
• We have worked with both relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.
• We demonstrate strong analytical ability, sound problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.
• We can juggle several projects at once while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
• We communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate business needs into technical requirements.
• We preferably hold a degree in a scientific field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• We have experience in data modeling and understanding how data is connected and used in business processes.
• We may hold relevant professional certifications, such as Open Certified Technical Specialist with Data Engineering Specialization.
• We may hold cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, Elastic Certified Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• We are familiar with social coding tools and IDEs such as GitHub and Visual Studio.

• We convert business objectives and requirements into effective data solutions.
• We investigate data sources to identify quality issues and early insights.
• We build data pipelines that cleanse, standardize, and transform raw information into final datasets.
• We review data solutions to ensure they meet both business and technical expectations.
• We manage the lifecycle of data assets to keep information current and useful.
• We apply a structured methodology, consulting mindset, and engineering discipline to data transformation work.
• We help turn raw data into actionable insights that support innovation and growth.
