Associate Recruiter - Medical Device, Biotech, & Pharma
Summary:
We are working with a Medical Device organization looking for a Director of Machine Learning. If you're passionate about machine learning, neuroscience, and making a measurable difference in people’s lives, this is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in one of the most meaningful applications of AI today.
Responsibilities:
- Own the machine learning roadmap and strategy
- Build and lead a growing team of engineers
- Collaborate with clinical teams to design ML systems grounded in real-world needs
- Develop scalable, auditable, and explainable models for interpreting neural signals
- Balance short-term deliverables with long-term R&D strategy
- Represent the ML function across leadership and cross-disciplinary initiatives
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied research; 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in medical devices, defense, aerospace, or automotive industries
- Deep expertise in time series and high-dimensional signal data
- Strong track record of developing ML systems for complex, high-dimensional data
- Proficiency with modern ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience in regulated tech (medical devices, robotics, etc.)
