Shipping and Receiving

Location: Painesville, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Starting Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team at a high-volume plastic processing facility in Painesville, Ohio. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials from semi-trucks, accurately handling shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining an organized and productive warehouse environment. Because many of our loads are double-stacked , strong forklift operating skills and previous experience handling large-volume shipments are essential. Primary Responsibilities Safely load and unload raw materials, finished products, and other materials from semi-trucks. Operate a forklift to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the facility. Safely handle double-stacked loads and ensure materials are properly positioned and secured. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness. Review, complete, and maintain shipping and receiving paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) . Inspect materials and shipments for visible damage or discrepancies and report issues appropriately. Stage materials for production, shipment, or storage. Maintain an organized and safe shipping and receiving area. Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating requirements. Communicate effectively with drivers, production personnel, supervisors, and other team members. Perform other shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience required. Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred. Experience loading and unloading semi-trucks strongly preferred. Ability to safely handle double-stacked loads . Experience with Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping/receiving documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify shipments and paperwork. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to perform the physical requirements of a shipping and receiving position, including lifting, standing, walking, and operating material-handling equipment.
