Production Scheduler Full Time Chanute, KS, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 2978 Position Summary The production planner will ensure all customer orders are produced in a timely, efficient manner through establishing and maintaining a production schedule, managing company inventories, and providing leadership to our shipping/receiving team. This individual be a key support resource to assist the purchasing manager with driving efficient procurement strategies and will serve as a cross-functional team member in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Analyze, plan, and manage production control activities to achieve customer requirements and improve overall plant efficiency. Analyze new part plans for correctness and completeness in accordance with prints, specifications, and current manufacturing processes. Prepare factory orders for production and establish effective production schedules by ensuring availability of required equipment, material, and manpower. Monitor the status of job orders and adjust production schedule as required. Identify and implement opportunities to improve inventory management, optimize packaging configurations, and improve overall supply chain. Coordinate with all parts of the organization to proactively identify and resolve production problems. Communicate issues that may delay processes. Experience and Education Required At least 3 years manufacturing and scheduling experience Lean Manufacturing Experience would be a plus. Experience in ERP, Microsoft Dynamics AX platform a plus.
