Test & Validation Engineer

Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Test and Validation Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality designs through comprehensive requirement testing and validation. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of different components, subsystems and vehicles. The position requires technical expertise to develop and lead product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards, and conduct projects in accordance with engineering excellence.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESLead the validation of small and large projects to meet required timing by working with design engineers and test techniciansDevelop DVP&R’s (Design Verification Plan and Report) ensuring traceability from requirements to validationParticipate in DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) reviews and provide input Develop laboratory test plans, procedures, analyze test data and write or approve technical reportsSet up and use of data acquisition equipment and processing the resulting data Prepare and manage schedules for assigned projects Identify project/subsystem risks and developing/executing subsequent mitigation plansOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStandardize test procedures through the development of test guidelinesRegularly use advanced decision-making tools and techniquesAutomate test setups and data reportingCorrelate lab testing to field duty cyclesEffectively self-manage medium to large size projectsUnderstands the impact of potential solutions and makes recommendations accordinglyDrive culture of traceable test acceptance criteria using reliability and confidence in designsManage external testingQUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOBEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is requiredExpertise in following areas:Testing, data analysis, project managementExperience: At least 7 years relevant experienceKEY COMPETENCIESKnow when more data is required to make technical decisionsFlexible problem solver that offers solutions for roadblocksEffectively communicate across all levels of engineers and leadershipAble to prioritize responsibilities with a level of autonomyContinuously raise your level of leadership, authority, and influenceVerbal and written communications skillsHigh capability in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPointPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.This position may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Club Car is a diverse and inclusive environment.
