Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert

Salary: $87,000 - 127,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a U.S. citizen with the ability to secure a Secret clearance; a TS clearance is preferred.
• We are looking for 15 years of IT experience, including HIPAA and medical systems expertise.
• We need senior-level DoD cybersecurity experience with strong RMF subject matter knowledge.
• We require prior A&A authorization and IV&V cybersecurity validation experience.
• We are seeking experience in enterprise cybersecurity architecture, risk management, and DoD policy interpretation.
• We prefer demonstrated support of government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments such as the IC, DoD, Federal civilian agencies, or military organizations.
• We prefer an IAM Level III certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or CASP.
• We require a bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• We will rely on you to act as a senior cybersecurity advisor for RMF and A&A execution.
• We expect you to provide expert guidance on DoD cybersecurity policy, directives, and implementation.
• You will oversee RMF lifecycle execution across systems, enclaves, and sites.
• You will review and approve Security Assessment Plans, testing approaches, and Security Assessment Reports.
• You will analyze residual risk and deliver authorization recommendations.
• You will oversee IV&V cybersecurity validation efforts and support validation readiness decisions.
• You will guide STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, POA&M development, and risk mitigation planning.
• You will support eMASS package preparation, authorization package reviews, and continuous monitoring strategies.
• You will advise system owners and program managers on cybersecurity architecture, control selection, boundary definitions, and enclave design.
• You will contribute to SOPs, policies, governance forums, technical reviews, dashboards, and enterprise compliance activities.
• You will support cybersecurity assessment activities across CONUS and OCONUS locations, provide executive briefings, and mentor engineering and analyst teams.
