OverviewJob PurposeAs a Senior Developer at Intercontinental Exchange, you will work at the forefront of global finance with state-of-the-art technology that directly influences essential markets worldwide.ResponsibilitiesExecute complex development tasks and ensure adherence to coding standardsSolve complex technical problems independently with minimal guidanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to critical componentsKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with 4+ years of Java development experience.Java 21, distributed messaging (Kafka, JMS), multi-threaded development, and advanced design patterns.Spring Framework 6.x (Spring Boot 3.x) including reactive programming with Spring AOP.Databases (Oracle, SQL, MyBatis, JPA) and microservices architecture with API gateway patterns and service discovery.Modern testing (JUnit 5, Mockito), RESTful API design (OpenAPI/Swagger), and build tools (Maven, Gradle).Caching (Redis, Hazelcast), event-driven architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Unit testing tools like Spring Boot Test, Mockito, and JUnit.Experience building cloud-native microservices using Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Argo CDWhat Sets You ApartExperience with AI-powered development tools including Claude Code and Cursor for accelerated code generation and refactoringStrong problem-solving abilities with proven Java performance tuning, debugging, and memory profiling expertise.Frontend experience (React, Ext JS), financial markets passion, or open-source contributions.
