Physical Therapist Assistant Join our In-House Rehabilitation Team at The Orchards at Douglas Cove! We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Douglas, Michigan. About the Role: As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist. You will record treatments given and note progress in medical records. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times. Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy individualized treatment plans and needed updates to increase client's independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician's orders Communicate changes in resident's condition Provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation Coordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and community partners Ensure compliance with all community mandatory education, training, and competence programs Perform screening rounds as directed by Director of Rehabilitation to assess for client needs and environmental safety Provide recommendations to Director of Rehab and other team members opportunities for business improvement, safety concerns, or other updates Effective and efficient time management skills Works well with people, including staff, residents, and families Communicate clearly and effectively Ability to solve problems effectively Requirements: Graduate of an accredited 2-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association Current, unencumbered, active Physical Therapy Assistant License Current physical therapy practices and procedures including laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities What We Offer: A dynamic and supportive work environment Opportunities for growth and development Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits package A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents How to Apply: If you are a dedicated and compassionate professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply to this exciting opportunity.
