Physical Therapist (Full time) Jefferson Bucks

Overview The Physical Therapist I is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. This role is an integral healthcare provider accountable for assisting patients to their highest level of physical, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing function. The Physical Therapist I will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health and works in conjunction with other health care professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care. Responsibilities Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, outpatient settings as appropriate. Participate in student education: part‑time (e.g., ICE, OT level 1) or full‑time student. Participate in education and teaching commensurate with novice clinician. Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate. Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families. Record and document client/patient health progress information for evaluation, all therapeutic interventions including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations and discharge summaries. Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. Doctorate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. Less than 1 year or 0‑2 years of clinical practice required. PT – Licensed Physical Therapist – State of Pennsylvania. BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association. Physical Demands Lift and carry 40–50 lbs. Examples include pushing/pulling patients on a bed or stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), and lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing and walking; patient transporters may walk 8–10 miles per shift. Job may require kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
