MedSurg RN Needed for Kingsbury Unit

Kingsbury is a 27-bed medical-surgical unit, caring for inpatients at Cheshire Medical Center with a variety of medical conditions as well as post-operative patients.

Patient population is primarily the elderly but can be as young as 18. Common diagnoses include post op ortho, general surgery, ETOH, CHF and pneumonia.

RN Patient Ratios: 5:1

LNA Patient Ratios: 3:1

Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience required.

Shift:

• 12hr shifts - 36hrs/wk
• Nights
• Every other weekend
• Rotating holidays

Required experience:

• Minimum of 2 previous travel assignments completed
• Post-surgical drains
• Central line care/maintenance
• Foley insertion
• G tubes/J tubes/NG tubes/PEG tubes
• IV medication administration/IV push
• Wound care
• O2 therapy

Preferred experience:

• Epic
• Telemetry experience

Required credentials:

• NH RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required)
• BLS
• ACLS preferred
