Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and under the supervision of the professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care and administers medications to patients. Essential Job Functions include participating in the nursing process, giving direct nursing care, contributing to the plan of care, performing patient data collection, implementing patient care, administering ordered medications and treatments, performing phlebotomy services, contributing to the evaluation of the patient's response to nursing interventions, demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of a diverse patient population, adhering to the safety policies and procedures of the organization, delegating delegable nursing tasks, accepting accountability and responsibility for delivery of care, complying with all HIPPA and OSHA policies, and practicing infection control procedures.

Licensing/Certification: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the state of employment or LPN applicant (required); BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (required); ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (may be required for specialty areas); PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (may be required for specialty areas); NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (may be required for specialty areas); Education: None; Work Experience: 1 year of clinical patient care experience (e.g., PCT, CNA, LPN) in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice (preferred); Training: EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred); Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class with passing grade on exam (required for Telemetry/Remote Telemetry units)

Medical Assistant Certified

The Medical Assistant Certified is a multi-skilled clinical professional that provides indirect and/or direct patient care within the scope of practice and in alignment with the standards of excellence and quality. Under the direction of the provider, the Medical Assistant contributes to the completion of the patient's chief complaint, documents patient/family needs, participates in planning and implementing care for patients, and administers ordered medications within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. Essential Job Functions include understanding and adhering to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the Medical Assistant role, identifying significant changes in patient condition through data collection and reporting them to the provider, troubleshooting issues and escalating problems to provider, direct supervisor, or appropriate internal resource, demonstrating standards of excellence in care in all interactions, maintaining clinical and administrative skills per the departmental competency guidelines to meet patient care and daily operational needs, showing patients to examination rooms and preparing them for the physician, traveling to other facilities for providers or adjusting hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the practice manager as needed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, exam rooms, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe manner, ensuring availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment, assisting patient and provider with virtual health visits, documenting in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and appropriately, managing in basket messages in the electronic health record (EHR) under the Provider's verbatim instructions, performing front desk workflows, following up on orders, appointments, referrals, and follow up visits and collecting co-pays as needed, and other duties include, but not limited to, ordering supplies appropriately, tracking referrals, labs and diagnostic tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, etc.
